Bride + Groom Content Day at Greystone Golf and Country Club
My second content day was all about bride and groom portraits, and it was such a sweet one.
I hosted this content day at Greystone Golf and Country Club in Denham Springs, LA, and it gave us the prettiest backdrop for practicing wedding photography. We had two model couples, Alyssa + Collin and Reilyn + Hunter, and they were absolute naturals in front of the camera.
This day was created for photographers who wanted more hands-on practice with couples, posing, movement, and all those little in-between wedding day moments that make a gallery feel full of life.
A Wedding Content Day for Photographers
We had four photographers and one budding content creator join us for the day, and I loved getting to watch everyone create in their own way.
One of my favorite things about content days is seeing how different photographers can photograph the same setup but tell the story completely differently. Same couple, same location, same light — and somehow everyone walks away with images that feel like their own.
Magic? Maybe. Or maybe just photographers dramatically squatting in bushes for the right angle. Honestly, both.
Practicing Bride and Groom Portraits
For this content day, we focused on a few important parts of a wedding day. The photographers were able to practice capturing groom portraits, bridal portraits, bride and groom posing, sweet couple moments, natural movement, romantic wedding portraits, and candid-style interactions.
We spent time photographing the grooms by themselves, which is something that can sometimes get overlooked on a busy wedding day. Groom portraits matter too, and this was a great chance for everyone to practice posing the guys in a way that felt natural, confident, and not like they were being held hostage by a camera.
Then we moved into bridal portraits and couple portraits, giving everyone the chance to work with posing, prompts, movement, and connection.
Two Sweet Model Couples
Our model couples, Alyssa + Collin and Reilyn + Hunter, were so wonderful to photograph. They gave us soft, romantic moments, sweet laughs, and the kind of natural connection that makes wedding photos feel so genuine.
Bride and groom portraits are not just about standing together and smiling at the camera. They are about the little looks, the hand squeezes, the quiet laughs, and the way two people settle into each other. Those are the moments that make wedding photography feel personal.
Both couples made it so easy for the photographers to practice capturing that connection.

A Sweet Day of Learning and Creating
This content day was such a fun reminder of why I love creating spaces like this for other photographers.
It gave everyone a chance to practice, try new prompts, learn how to guide couples, and get more comfortable photographing bride and groom portraits. And for our budding content creator, it was a great opportunity to capture behind-the-scenes moments and wedding-style content in a real venue setting.
I am so thankful for everyone who came, modeled, created, and helped make this day happen. It was full of learning, laughter, pretty details, and sweet couple moments — which is pretty much my ideal kind of work day.
Minus the part where photographers are always one wrong step away from falling into landscaping for the perfect shot. But honestly, that is just part of the art.
